This is the biggest coral ever found in Phu Quoc Island, located at the depth of around 7 – 8m at Half-moon Reef, Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam with the footer of 6m long and height of 3.5m. Diploastrea heliopora (Honeycomb Coral) is a species of cnidarians in the family Diploastraeidae. They are listed as near threatened by IUCN and in cites appendix ii. Dead Honeycomb Coral form shallow marine sediments. Honeycomb Coral form marine reefs. They have asexual reproduction, alternation of generations, and sexual reproduction; they are broadcast spawners. They have no parental care. They are sessile animals.
