Ages ago long ago, Ham Ninh Fishing Village has become the best well-known Fishing Village as it was the first fishing village on the island when people came here from mainland in the direction of the East and found it the first area then settled here, established the first residential area on Phu Quoc Island. But the past has gone away and now.<\/p>\n

If you are looking forward to seeing a rustic fishing village then the real scenery will absolutely disappoint you. You will find no presence of pristine fisherman houses but a souvenir market of selling cheap pearl, peppercorn, dry starfish, dry sea horses fruit and seafood floating restaurants beside the pier and the presence of a lot of trash in consequence of long-term non-cleaning. You will take around 1 minute to stroll a long the market from the beginning to the pier. From my experiences, if you have intend to join any Tours in Phu Quoc which are inclusive of a visit to Ham Ninh fishing village and normally those Phu Quoc tours will visit Ham Ninh fishing village by noon, it would be very hot and sunny at that time, you will not want to stroll on a 300 m long pier to catch sight of restaurants and a dirty water only under super hot weather in Dry season. Besides that playing as a role of guide, it would be difficult for you tour guide to show you stories related to the fishing village as it has been a lot changed versus it was in the past, you will be seeing only cement-made houses and restaurants here even hotels.<\/p>\n

Nowadays, You will certainly not run into this sceneary if you visit Ham Ninh fishing village as everything has changed.
