{"id":44736,"date":"2024-02-06T22:12:16","date_gmt":"2024-02-06T15:12:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/onbird.vn\/?p=44736"},"modified":"2024-02-06T22:12:16","modified_gmt":"2024-02-06T15:12:16","slug":"phu-quoc-conservation-moorings-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dtabeam.com\/phu-quoc-conservation-moorings-2\/","title":{"rendered":"PHU QUOC CONSERVATION MOORINGS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PHU QUOC CONSERVATION MOORINGS UPDATE\/ NEO B\u1ea2O T\u1ed2N CHO T\u00c0U T\u1ea0I PH\u00da QU\u1ed0C<\/p>\n<p>Before the Lunar New Year break, our team at OnBird &#8211; Soft-Adventure Journeys has completed the early stage of our mission to contribute conservation moorings for parts of Phu Quoc Island which can help:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>Reduce the amount of contact between the mooring components and the seafloor (especially coral reef areas)<\/li>\n<li>Plants &amp; corals, and other creatures to flourish<\/li>\n<li>Raise awareness for other boat operators and also provide them with an anchorage when in need instead of mistaken anchorages<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Conservation moorings use a buoyant bungee-like cord or floating, flexible rods connected with a hunk of reinforced concrete that will be coralized after 10-20 years.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/fHH_nlDP0jo?si=nNrW0P9igIa-0Lrn\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>More stages need to be completed in the next months of 2024!
