On the 21st of May, Phu Quoc Island welcomed the very first cruise ship named Costa Serena back after 3 years being affected by COVID-19 waves.<\/p>\n

Costa Serena anchored in Phu Quoc (Bach Dang Port) at around 7:00 and set to leave the island around 17:00 of the same day. The cruise ship (2017-built, last refurbished in 2023 April) is the second of all five Concordia-class Costa cruise ships) which carries 3,617 passengers.<\/p>\n

During 9:00 to 15:30, passengers are free to choose their inland activities. Passengers after finishing immigration customs on cruise will be escorted by small boats to Bach Dang Port.<\/p>\n

In which, a popular itinerary for our customers is to take a private transfer to visit some well-known places of South Phu Quoc Island, namely SunWorld Hon Thom Cable Car, Kem Beach, Sao Beach, Ho Quoc Pagoda, drop by some beachside lunches or front street marts to purchase some necessary stuff before heading back to the port of cruise disembarkation.<\/p>\n

Phu Quoc local people are almost not being widely informed about the cruise ship arrival by the media then not many people were able to arrange to be at the port as previously.<\/p>\n

However, one thing that many local residents hope for is many more cruise ships arriving in the near future which helpfully boost the tourism of the island after a long time of difficulties.<\/p>\n

The boat has 13 passenger decks (all named after zodiac constellations), 5 restaurants, 13 lounges and bars, 4D cinema, 4 swimming pools (2 with retractable glass roofs), 5 outdoor Jacuzzies (plus 6x Samsara Spa Suites with their own hot tubs), 18 elevators. Serena has no self-service laundromats on board.<\/p>\n

On Serena, there are\u00a0a total of 312 original artworks and 5990 prints on display at various places throughout the ship.<\/p>\n
