Starting December 20, 2024, the low-cost airline Scoot will commence direct flights from Singapore to\u00a0Phu Quoc, Vietnam, operating three round trips per week, as reported by The Strait Times.<\/p>\n

Flights will depart Singapore at 12:35 PM (local time), arriving in Phu Quoc at 1:20 PM (local time). The return leg will leave Phu Quoc at 1:55 PM (local time) and reach Singapore at 4:50 PM (local time). Beginning January 2025, Scoot plans to expand this service to five round trips per week.<\/p>\n

These individuals often seek weekend getaways to popular Southeast Asian islands such as Phuket, Koh Samui, and Bali. Given the competitive pricing and the mere two-hour flight from Singapore, Phu Quoc is well-positioned to emerge as a new attractive destination for this demographic, offering a more economical alternative, especially considering that the average daily living cost in Singapore is around 1.9 million VND per person.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the island will feature shows at the Sun Baravia Bistro beer restaurant and various entertainment options, promising a vibrant year-end tourist season filled with festivals and fireworks.<\/p>\n
